Ingredients and Equipment:
kale
1 cup water
1/4 cup vinegar
large pot
Additional supplies:
crushed red peppers
1 or 2 slices of bacon
chopped onion
Directions:
Boiling kale is one of the most common ways of cooking the vegetable. After the kale is properly cleaned and ready to use, simply pour one cup of water and a quarter of a cup of vinegar in a large pot. Bring to contents to a boil, add the kale, and cook until it turns bright green in color. Remove from heat and serve it with a little extra vinegar and a sprinkle of crushed flakes of red pepper, if desired. For an extra boost of flavor, add a slice or two of bacon and some diced onion to the greens while they are cooking.
